As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced IT & Information Security Specialist to help strengthen our technology environment, information security capability and governance systems.

This is a unique opportunity to work across the entire organisation, partnering with operational teams, project personnel, subcontractors and external providers to ensure our systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

Reporting to the Governance & Risk Manager, you'll take ownership of our relationship with our Managed Service Provider while supporting and continually improving our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.

About the Role

As the IT & Information Security Specialist, you'll be responsible for coordinating IT service delivery,



maintaining information security controls and supporting the ongoing development of our ISO 27001 certified Information Security Management System.

Key Responsibilities

Information Security

- Support the operation and continual improvement of the ISO 27001 ISMS.
- Coordinate information security incidents, investigations and corrective actions.
- Conduct security reviews, risk assessments and assurance activities.
- Manage security registers, procedures and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate security awareness and training initiatives.
- Assist with client, supplier and certification audits.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend improvements.

Information Technology

- Act as the primary liaison between Zenviron and our Managed Service Provider.
- Oversee IT service delivery and issue resolution.
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding and access management.
- Support Microsoft 365, cloud services, business applications and devices.
- Assist with technology projects, upgrades and system improvements.
- Maintain IT asset lifecycle and inventory processes.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.

Governance & Assurance

- Monitor compliance with security policies and standards.
- Prepare reports and metrics for management review.
- Support internal audits and assurance activities.
- Assist in meeting contractual,



client and regulatory information security requirements.

About You

You are comfortable operating across both technical and governance environments and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders.

You'll bring:

- Experience in IT systems administration, service delivery or technical support.
- Experience in information security, cybersecurity or risk management.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud environments.
- An understanding of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
- Experience managing external IT providers and vendors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A practical approach to balancing risk, security and business outcomes.
- Microsoft, cybersecurity or networking certifications.
- Experience with ISO 27001 certification or audits.
- Experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure or project-based businesses.
- Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management or incident response.

This is a full-time, office-based position located at our Honeysuckle head office in Newcastle. The role is performed Monday to Friday, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
