The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and hardworking Property Lawyer with a minimum of 4 years' post-admission experience in property law to join our firm.

The position is available as either a full time permanent role or a 12-month full-time contract role. You will manage property and conveyancing matters autonomously while working closely with our Principals and support staff.

This role will suit a confident practitioner who can take carriage of matters from start to finish, communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, and deliver accurate work in a busy legal practice. Experience with the lodgement of plans, easements, covenants and related dealings will be viewed favourably. Experience preparing, reviewing and advising on leases, including commercial leases, will also be highly regarded.

The role will involve a number of duties including but not limited to:

- obtaining instructions from clients and manage property matters from commencement to completion.
- prepare contracts for the sale of land,



off-the-plan matters and commercial property transactions.
- preparing advices in relation to contracts and negotiating terms with the other side.
- obtaining and reviewing searches, pest and building reports, strata reports and statutory inquiries.
- liaising with clients, agents, brokers, banks, incoming and outgoing mortgagees, other solicitors and conveyancers, and relevant stakeholders.
- managing correspondences, preparing settlement figures, attend to settlement adjustments and finalise settlements through PEXA.
- identifying and advising on complex property law issues.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be an admitted lawyer with a current practising certificate and at least 4 years' post-admission experience in property law and:

- have strong drafting skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate work while taking ownership of quality.
- be confident managing competing deadlines in a busy practice, while remaining calm under pressure and adaptable when priorities shift.
- be a professional, client-centred communicator with sound judgement and empathy, and you will be able to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- be proactive and resourceful, comfortable working autonomously while knowing when to escape or seek guidance.
- bring a charismatic and energetic personality to the role and contribute positively to the culture of the firm.
