Key Selection Criteria

- Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
- A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
- Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
- Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a secure and positive classroom environment;
- Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.

Our school is dedicated to the Brigidine heritage and the Brigidine Sisters who taught at St. Augustines Catholic School. The Brigidine Cross, woven from rushes, is customarily placed above an entrance door as a sign of welcome and hospitality. At its heart is the lamp of learning encased in a circle symbolising oneness with God.Our School vision and mission encapsulate both the welcome and hospitality of the Brigidine Religious Order and the life-long learning of St. Augustine.The current population of the school is 252 pupils who are educated across 12 classrooms.
