About The Role

The Manager, Contract Performance is a specialist role within the Contract Governance, Risk & Performance (CGRP) branch, reporting to the Senior Manager, Contract Performance. The role is responsible for developing, digitising and embedding high-quality contract performance reporting capabilities across Transport Services’ strategic contracts, with an immediate focus on Public Transport. Working across multiple DTP Groups and Divisions, the role translates stakeholder reporting requirements into clear, automated and insight-driven performance reporting solutions, leveraging technology platforms specifically Power BI and SharePoint to give contract management teams seamless access to the performance data they need to effectively oversee contractual obligations. The role bridges the gap between technical data teams and non-technical stakeholder groups, ensuring solutions are both analytically rigorous and practically accessible.



A defining feature of this role is its focus on leveraging up-to-date digital technologies, including AI-enabled insights and automation to continuously improve the quality, efficiency and strategic value of performance reporting across Transport Services. The role actively upskills CGRP team members and contract Manager, Contract Performance management teams in the use of these tools, building digital capability and data literacy across Transport Services. The Manager, Contract Performance works collaboratively within CGRP and with stakeholders across Transport Services, contributing to a high-performance, continuous improvement culture aligned with DTP’s vision and the Victorian Public Sector values.

- Applies critical thinking to solve complex reporting, data, and technology challenges, identifies opportunities for improvement, and develops practical, evidence-based solutions.




- Communicates complex data and analytical insights clearly and effectively to support informed decision-making across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrates strong digital and technology capability, with experience using tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, and automation solutions to enhance reporting, governance, risk, and performance processes.
- Applies strong data literacy skills, including data modelling, DAX, and data visualisation techniques, to transform performance data into meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications And Experience

- Demonstrated expertise in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, dashboard development, and data visualisation.
- Experience developing, automating, and improving performance reporting or Business Intelligence solutions within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders, understand business requirements, and translate them into effective data and reporting solutions.
- Experience with AI-enabled analytics, automation tools, and knowledge of DTP’s data environment, including the Transport Data Platform, is desirable.
