ISR ICT Systems Administrator – Keep aircraft connected. Keep operations moving.
Location: Moorabbin Airport, in Melbourne’s South-East
Position: Full Time Permanent (1 Position Available)
Microflite Aviation is seeking an experienced ISR ICT Systems Administrator to maintain and supportthe secure, reliable and operationally ready ICT systems that enable our Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations.
This is a hands-on technical role responsible for supporting users, managing Microsoft environments, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring mission-critical ICT systems remain operational across aircraft platforms, remote operational bases and deployable environments.
The successful candidate will provide technical support across Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint management, networking, cybersecurity controls, communications systems and specialist ISR technologies. This role requires a practical problem solver who can operate effectively in dynamic, time critical environments while maintaining strong security and documentation practices.

What You’ll Do:
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID users, groups, permissions, access controls and authentication settings.
- Configure and maintain Windows laptops, rugged computers, tablets and mobile devices.
- Manage endpoint configuration, compliance, software deployment and security policies through Microsoft Intune.
- Maintain conditional access, multifactor authentication and endpoint security controls.
- Configure and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls and network-connected equipment.
- Manage TCP/IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing, VPNs and network access controls.
- Configure and maintain Peplink routers,
cellular modems and associated communications infrastructure.
- Manage SpeedFusion, WAN bonding, VPN connectivity, failover and traffic-routing configurations.
- Support cellular, satellite and remote communications networks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, authentication, network and connectivity issues.
- Maintain endpoint protection, encryption, patching and vulnerability-remediation processes.
- Monitor security alerts, system logs, access events and network performance.
- Support ICT requirements for secure facilities, controlled systems and protected information environments.
- Maintain backup, recovery and business continuity arrangements for critical systems.
- Prepare, configure and test ICT equipment prior to operational deployments.
- Support aircraft operator consoles, mission laptops, displays, networking equipment and data-transfer systems.
- Assist with temporary operations rooms, remote bases and deployable communications systems.
- Maintain ICT asset registers, licence records, network diagrams and configuration documentation.
- Provide occasional after-hours support during operational activities.
What You’ll Bring:
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in:
- Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Exchange Online.
- Windows desktop and laptop administration.
- User account, permission and access management.
- Endpoint configuration, compliance, patching and software deployment.
- Network configuration and troubleshooting.
- TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, routing and firewall concepts.
- Supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
- Endpoint protection, encryption and cybersecurity controls.
- Hardware, software, authentication and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintaining clear technical documentation and configuration records.
- Supporting users in operational or time-critical environments.
- Is an Australian Citizen, with the ability to obtained maintain required aviation, airport or government security clearances.
Desirable Experience
- Peplink routers, InControl, SpeedFusion or WAN bonding technologies.
- Cellular, satellite or remote communications networks.
- Microsoft Defender,
Microsoft Sentinel or similar security-monitoring platforms.
- Rugged computers and deployable ICT systems.
- Aircraft networking, mission systems or operational communications equipment.
- Secure facilities or protected information environments.
- Australian Government Essential Eight, ISM or IRAP frameworks.
- AWS environments and cloud-connected applications.
- Experience within aviation, defence, emergency services or government environments.
- Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Peplink or cybersecurity certifications.
