We are seeking an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Practice Coordinator to strengtheninfection prevention and control practices across OneCare services. The role works alongside the quality and compliance team, site Clinical Managers, clinical leaders, service managers and care teams to support consistent surveillance, auditing, monitoring, advice, education, training and competency development.

What will you do?

Working under the direction of the Manager Quality and Compliance in a state-wide capacity you will:

- Support in monitoring infection risks, outbreak risks, resident vaccination program, antimicrobial stewardship, hand hygiene and PPE compliance.
- Coordinate and support IPC audits, including hand hygiene, PPE, environmental cleaning, equipment hygiene, waste, linen, sharps, aseptic practice and invasive device management.
- Support IPC education and practical competency assessment, observation, coaching and follow-up staff hygiene PPE practice.
- Support sites to maintain outbreak readiness, and post-outbreak review.
- Support accurate IPC data collection, trend review, risk escalation and reporting through OneCare’s clinical governance systems.
- Assist with IPC policy, procedure, checklist,



guideline and education resource development and review.
- Promote infection control practices that protect safety while supporting dignity, choice, movement, connection and quality of life.

What you bring to the role

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Postgraduate qualification, or current enrolment, in infection prevention and control, or clinical governance, quality, education, public health or aged care.
- Completion of recognised infection prevention and control training, such as ACIPC Foundations of Infection Prevention and Control, or equivalent.
- Hand Hygiene Australia auditor training or equivalent hand hygiene audit training.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent education/training qualification.
- Previous appointment as an IPC Lead in residential aged care or a comparable health care setting.
