As a key member of our clients finishing team, you’ll be responsible for preparing steel playground components for powder coating. Your primary focus will be operating and maintaining our sandblasting equipment, but you’ll also contribute across several stages of the production process.

This is a diverse, active role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, problem?solving, and maintaining high standards of quality.

Main Duties

- Clean welds, remove spatter, and prepare components for blasting
- Batch, load, and prepare the blasting booth
- Operate the blasting process and unload finished components
- Coat and finish welds to a high standard
- Sort and batch components for powder coating
- Load and unload the powder coating line
- Maintain blast units, tools, and machinery
- Keep work areas tidy, safe, and free of debris

General Manufacturing Support

- Assist the steel department with cutting, linishing, drilling, bending, and pressing steel components
- Help set up machinery, load jigs, and support maintenance of compressors and equipment
- Move, sort, and organise stock and raw materials as required

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong proficiency in sandblasting
- Experience in spray painting
- Confidence using metalworking tools and machinery (grinders, hand tools, etc.)
- Accurate measuring and marking skills
- Forklift driving experience and solid materials?handling knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control
