About the role

OCAB Bakery Yarraville is currently looking for an experienced Baker to join our team. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled person to contribute to the production of high-quality baked goods and pastries.

The successful candidate must be available to work from 6am to 2pm.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

- Preparing and baking bread using established recipes and techniques
- Strong knowledge of sourdough technic
- Ensuring all baked products meet quality and presentation standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout the baking process
- Assisting in the stocking and rotation of ingredients and supplies
- Collaborating with the team to identify and implement process improvements




- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Must be able to show they can work in a team and time management is essential.
- Possibility to develop your own creation (new bread or pastry item)

About You

Along with your strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role as a Baker or Pastry Chef, you'll have/be:

- Have at least three years of commercial baking experience
- Full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident
- Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient properties and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, be reliable and have great attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to bake a range of pastries and bread (croissant, scrolls, viennoiserie)
- Passion for creating high-quality baked goods

OCAB Bakery Yarraville is a newly established bakery and a sister store to the very popular OCAB Bakery Moonee Ponds. Friends Hooman and Tristan have worked hard to source the finest quality ingredients to create delicious, freshly-baked breads, pastries and other treats. Both bakeries are well known for their friendly service, inviting atmosphere and high-quality products.
