Aboutthe role
Thereis an amazing opportunity to work in our Technical Production and Operationsteam, within our Cultural and Community Hub team.
It’san exciting time to join a team, and be a part of change and growth, whiledelivering high quality technical, production and operational services acrosscultural, civic and community venues.
Therole is responsible for:
- Assisting in the coordination of hirers to understandtheir technical requirements, to achieve optimum satisfaction levels for theirperformance and the audience.
- To supervise technical support staff as directed.
- To provide excellent technical and customer servicesfor performances, functions and events at all cultural and community hubs.
- Ensure a protected and clean environment is provided forall events.
- Ensure all equipment is well maintained, audited andset up and running smoothly for events.
Aboutyou
The successful applicant willhave solid knowledge of the technical industry, be passionate about workingwith a variety of community groups,
stakeholders and clients to deliverexceptional technical outcomes.
You will need these essentialqualifications (or experience), knowledge and skills to carry out thisposition:
- Diplomaor certificate in technical field, or specialist technical qualifications withlimited work experience, or lesser formal qualifications with demonstratedrelevant work skills in technical service and support for functions or events.
- Demonstratedexperience in the technical operation of a live theatre, performing artscentre, community venues, across Theatre Lighting, Sound or Staging.
- Demonstratedability to support technical staff.
- Provenexperience working within a small team environment, contributing to both groupand individual work goals. Must be able to work flexibly across a range ofhours, including availability for overtime and time-in-lieu (TIL) whererequired.
- Basicknowledge of Yamaha Audio, Crestron Control Systems, and Osys Audio Processors,exposure to Dante Audio Networking and familiarity with NDI Video Environments.
- Desirablequalifications include, test and tagging, rigging and working at heights.
- Demonstratedability to deliver exceptional customer service to clients and hirers from adiverse background, addressing their technical and logistical needs withprofessionalism and courtesy, while resolving minor technical issues
- Experiencein providing support and guidance to clients regarding technical requirements,ensuring a smooth and positive experience before, during, and after events.
- Demonstratedability to use a variety of MS software, as well as Council’s booking systems.
- Well-developedwritten and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with clients,hirers, and team members from diverse backgrounds.
