The Role

- Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects including earthworks, roads, drainage and infrastructure
- Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks and opportunities
- Source and evaluate quotes from subcontractors, suppliers and plant hire providers
- Develop competitive, compliant tender submissions in line with client requirements and deadlines
- Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis to support pricing decisions
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal project teams throughout the tender process
- Provide guidance and support to junior estimators
- Contribute to pricing strategy, risk assessment and value engineering
- Maintain accurate records of historical costs, rates and productivity data to inform future estimates




- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and Victorian regulatory requirements

How You'll Connect to the Role:

- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline (essential)
- Substantial experience as an Estimator within the civil construction industry
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies including earthworks, roads, drainage and infrastructure
- Proven ability to prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions
- Strong quantity take-off and cost analysis skills
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and commercial acumen
- Sound knowledge of Victorian civil construction industry standards, contracts and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Current driver's licence
