Suprema Medical Center is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Hoppers Crossing, VIC 3029, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care, managing a broad spectrum of medical conditions and providing continuity of care to our community. This position is integral to our mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare services to the local area.

This clinic is attached with University of Melbourne ,Clinical traning for Under graduate medical students since 17 years.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive patient consultations and assessments, including taking detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations

Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with best practice guidelines

Prescribing medications and other treatments, ensuring appropriate monitoring and follow-up care

Referring patients to specialist services when clinically appropriate

Performing minor surgical procedures and clinical interventions within scope of general practice

Providing preventative health advice and health promotion activities to patients

Managing chronic disease conditions through regular monitoring and review appointments

Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for all patient encounters

Collaborating with nursing and administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective practice operations

Contributing to the quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives within the centre

What we’re looking for

Valid Australian medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia

Fellowship or eligibility for fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or equivalent qualification





Current and valid General Practitioner registration in Victoria

Demonstrated experience in general practice, preferably in an Australian primary care setting

Strong clinical knowledge and competency in managing diverse patient presentations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical judgements

Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping abreast of medical advances

Current professional indemnity insurance

Full immunisation status including COVID-19 vaccination
