Mildura Base Public Hospital's Mental Health Services are offering a unique opportunity to join the dynamic team. The service provides the full range of specialist public mental health services to a population of approximately 70,000 people across an area of 25,000 square kilometres.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals are an important part of Victoria's reformed mental health and wellbeing system. In Mildura, Wellways, Mildura Base Public Hospital, Mallee District Aboriginal Services and Sunraysia Community Health are working together to offer an easy way to access care and support for people aged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health concerns - including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug support and care needs and their family and carers.

Based off-site at the Local, Towards Change Lead will be employed by Mildura Base Public Hospital and will provide leadership and support to the Towards Change Team. The Towards Change team is a multi disciplinary team of mental health clinicians offering evidence based therapeutic interventions alongside our lived experience colleagues in the Support and Connect team.

The role will work closely with the Clinical Manager and the Local's leadership team, to help to foster a culture of team-oriented relationships amongst all disciplines working within The Local.

The position is full time, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications / experience:

Relevant degree or recognised tertiary qualification in Nursing,



Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Social Work with AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership with the AASW

Leadership experience in the mental health sector.

A strong commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement.

Demonstrated experience clinical mental health practice

Familiarity with the reforms of the Mental Health Royal Commission

Employment Conditions

The position is paid as a Level 5 (nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy)dependent on qualification and years of experience at a leadership level under the Victorian Public Mental Health services Enterprise Agreement.
