Mechanical Fitter / Service Technician (QLD)

We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the team in our QLD Workshop (Rockhampton).

We will support Australia-wide relocation for the right candidates. Similar jobs are available in VIC (Dandenong), and WA (Perth).

Role Summary

Tasks

- Be a leader in safety
- All aspects of all makes and types of Gearbox/ Power Transmission equipment overhaul
- Strip, clean, Inspect,



and repair Industrial power transmission equipment with minimum supervision
- Ability to maintain the workshop in good working order, including equipment and clean workspace
- Occasional travel/site work may be required
- Willingness for learning and development including OEM training

Mandatory skills

- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualified
- Safety conscious with thorough understanding and compliance to work safety standards
- Technical Ability to read engineering drawings and workshop measuring equipment
- Ability to manage workload with a results-driven attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Dedicated, reliable, and ability to work in a team
- Gearbox Testing
- High-risk work license, FLT, Dogging, and Rigging, otherwise training will be given where needed
