An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious Intermediate / Senior Accountant to join a well-established Chartered Accounting firm in Cairns.

The firm works with a diverse client base including SMEs, large multi-entity groups, investment entities, not-for-profit organisations and HWNIs, providing you with varied and valuable experience from the outset of your career.

Duties

- The preparation financial statements and tax returns for various group structures consisting of companies, individuals, partnerships and trusts
- Preparation of BAS, IAS and GST reconciliations




- Preparation of FBT returns
- Identifying and application of CGT and Div7a
- Liaising with clients, the ATO and other regulatory bodies

Applicants

- Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
- Considering candidates with approximately 2 years experience and up in public practice accounting
- CA/CPA studying, qualified or looking to commence
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Strong commitment to ethics, quality service and client relationships
