About the Role
As part of the hospitality team, you will assist with the preparation, plating and serving of nutritious meals while ensuring the kitchen remains clean, safe and compliant with food safety standards.
Working alongside experienced cooks and kitchen staff, you will support meal service, food preparation, cleaning duties and stock management in a welcoming residential aged care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and plating meals for residents
- Serve meals and refreshments in accordance with dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Support stock rotation and food storage procedures
- Follow food safety and infection control practices at all times
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and care teams to provide an enjoyable dining experience
- Help create a welcoming mealtime environment for residents

About You
You are a reliable, hardworking and compassionate individual who enjoys supporting older people through quality food service.
You will also bring:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, catering or food service role
- Experience working within aged care, healthcare, hospitality or a commercial kitchen
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required
- A genuine commitment to providing excellent service to older Australians
