Position Type: Full-Time

- Salary: $150,000 plus superannuation and commission

About the Role

The General Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centred dental care across MDCA's in office clinics, servicing aged care facilities and community settings throughout Victoria. This role involves clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and the delivery of general dentistry services, ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes for patients in a mobile care environment.

Your Responsibilities

- Assessing and diagnosing oral health conditions using clinical examination, imaging, and patient history
- Delivering preventive dental care, including periodontal treatment, fluoride application, and patient education on oral health promotion
- Performing restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and implant-related procedures, repairing decayed or damaged teeth
- Undertaking minor oral surgical procedures,



including tissue biopsies and prescribing appropriate medication
- Carrying out routine orthodontic treatment as required
- Fitting and managing removable and fixed dental prostheses to restore oral function
- Recognising oral signs of broader systemic health conditions (such as diabetes) and referring or managing accordingly
- Educating patients on maintaining oral hygiene and long-term dental health
- Providing clinical guidance and support to dental assistants and other members of the on-site care team
- Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records in accordance with practice and regulatory requirements
- Travelling to designated aged care facilities and community sites as scheduled

- A patient-focused clinician committed to delivering high-quality care
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach, particularly when working with elderly and vulnerable patients

Skills & Experience

- Minimum Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent tertiary qualification in dentistry
- Current AHPRA registration as a General Dentist, with no restrictions
- Minimum 1–3 years of full-time experience working as a Dentist
- Current Radiation License
- Current professional indemnity insurance
- National Police Certificate (Police Check)
