About the Role

BHP Technology is looking for an Operational Technology Technician to work at our Peak Downs Mine Site in Queensland. The role is responsible for undertaking preventative maintenance and providing technical field support for the mine sites Operational Technology Systems. The role is a Full Time position with BHP on a 7/7 roster working 12 hour days.

Your responsibilities

- Ensuring day to day availability and maintenance of sites Operational Technology Systems
- Experience in the following Operational Technology Systems would be considered: Fleet Management Systems, Digital Radio (DRS), Network and Servers, CCTV, Wireless Telemetry System (WTS), and site security access system
- Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support teams to resolve priority issues
- Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with the work orders
- Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability




- Validate quality of work performed prior to completionReview and request updates to Work Management and other Master Data as required

About You

- Trade certificate in Auto Electrical, Radio Communications, Electronics or Industrial Electrical
- Familiarity with mining Operations Technology, Digital Radio, Fleet Management, and Communication Networks
- A proven track record of Safety within an operational workplace
- An ability to prioritise effectively and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Proactively build relationships with customers and partners
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Australian C class driver's license
- Coal mine exposure would be advantageous
- Open/unrestricted Cabling Licence preferable
- Desirable experience: SAP Work Management, Working at Heights, Confined Space and First Aid training
