Waste Equipment and Hiab Services – Ardeer VIC

WEHS Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team at Ardeer, VIC, 3022 workshop. The successful applicant will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and maintaining structural steel components, metal equipment, and machinery used in waste management operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare metal materials including steel sections and components.
- Fabricate and assemble structural steelwork, metal components, and equipment parts to required specifications.
- Perform welding, bolting, and other fabrication techniques to join metal components.
- Operate workshop machinery and fabrication equipment including cutting tools, grinders, drills, presses, and related equipment.
- Shape, bend, and modify metal sections using appropriate fabrication methods.
- Carry out repairs, modifications, and maintenance work on metal structures, machinery components, and waste management equipment.
- Grind, clean,



and finish fabricated components to achieve required quality standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and operational teams to complete fabrication and maintenance tasks efficiently.

Skills and Experience

- Experience in welding, steel fabrication, and metal repairs.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience using workshop tools and fabrication equipment.
- Robust commitment to quality, safety, and reliable workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
