The APS 4 Operations Administration Assistant role supports the Operations Branch within the Headquarters of Joint Training Command in an operations registry function. They are required to perform operational, procedural, administrative and business support tasks. This includes maintaining accurate records and files in accordance with Defence work practices and procedures. It will require ability to correlate information across several systems; and then on-forward to appropriate staff or organisations, while maintaining internal correspondence registers of activities conducted. They will support internal business administration for the Operations Branch allowing the team to effectively complete normal roles and functions across the Headquarters.

About our Team

Headquarters Joint Training Command (JTC) is the Headquarters for the Defence Force School of Signals Melbourne Vic, Defence School of Intelligence Canungra QLD, Defence Force School of Policing Holsworthy NSW, Defence Force School of Space and Cyber in Canberra ACT, and the Defence Force School of Music Melbourne Vic. JTC is seeking an APS 4 Operations Administration Assistant to provide support to HQ JTC Operations Cell. This position will be located at Simpson Barracks, Macleod VIC.

Working within JTC you will be a key team member within the Operations Cell. This team consistently delivers a high standard of outputs and each role within the team contributes to supporting the delivery of capability.

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
