Co-Director – OSHC (Level 8), Short-Term Temporary Contract
West Lakes Shore Primary School OSHC
West Lakes Shore Primary School OSHC is seeking applications for a short-term, temporary Co-Director position.
Our service is operated by the Governing Council and supported by a cooperative school community and a committed, passionate OSHC team. We provide Before School, After School, and Vacation Care, with a licensed capacity for 100 children. We are looking for a proactive team member with robust knowledge, relevant experience, and a dedication to the provision of high-quality care.
About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will:
- Be at least 18 years of age at the commencement of employment (from Monday, 6 July 2026).
- Demonstrate prior experience working within an OSHC environment.
- Hold a relevant approved qualification (in accordance with SA ACECQA requirements).
- Possess current certification in RRHAN-EC, Working with Children Check (WWCC), Child Safety Training, and First Aid in Education and Care.
- Exhibit excellent organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to undertake tasks to a high standard.
- Display initiative, strong attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism.
- Be confident communicating effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Support the Director in the daily management and regulatory compliance of the service (including medication administration, maintaining medical documentation, conducting risk assessments, implementing and reviewing the Quality Improvement Plan, emergency procedures, and record-keeping).
- Ensure the OSHC program provides a safe, inclusive, and positive environment consistent with site policies and the Inclusion Plan.
- Assist in the review and development of service policies.
- Oversee the completion and maintenance of documentation, such as incident and first aid reports.
- Contribute to team meetings, mentor and support educators, and attend leadership/advisory meetings as required.
- Act as Director in the Director’s absence.
- Carry out other duties as required within the scope of the role.
Employment Details
- Minimum Requirement: 2 permanent shifts per week (Thursdays & Fridays)
- Hours: Up to 15 hours per week
- Remuneration: Children’s Services Award – Level 8 (Permanent Part-Time plus GC approved 10% above award rates.)
Contract Period
- Commencement: Monday, 6 July 2026
- Conclusion: Friday, 11 December 2026 (possible renewal)
