- Part time 0.2 FTE fixed term Senior Medication Safety Pharmacist role ending August 2027
- Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available
- $108,820 - $123,905 (pro-rata for part time)+ super + salary packaging

About the Pharmacy Department

Our department provides a comprehensive pharmacy service to all patients of the hospital. A high degree of specialised service is provided in clinical areas, medicines information, antimicrobial stewardship, quality use of medicine, research and clinical trials. We are a passionate, supportive and driven team who works cohesively together to focus on quality patient centred care.

About the role

As a Medication Safety Clinical Pharmacist at the Women’s you will be working togegther with the Medication Safety Pharmacists to provide your expertise comprehensive pharmacy services to the clinical areas within your remit, ensuring the provision of best practice medication management services to patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals

A regular day will see you:

- Coordinate and manage quality use of medicines activities within the organisation.
- Assess and identify reported clinical incidents and recognising trends of errors relating to medicines
- Review guidelines, protocols and patient's medication chart
- Participate all clinical activities including ward rounds
- Ensure appropriate medicine usage through implementation of hospital policy, and through liaison with medical and nursing staff




- Support training and mentoring program, including supervision of intern pharmacists and pharmacy students

About you

You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who enjoys working as part of a team committed to excellence in patient care.

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

- A Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent plus current and full AHPRA registration without restrictions as a Pharmacist
- A higher post graduate qualifification, certicicate or MasterGeneral related to the Pharmacy knowledge and experience relevant to the position
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and professional manner in keeping with our philosophy of a robust customer/patient focus
