HX Contracting PTY LTD is seeking dedicated Qualified Carpenters and first year Apprentices to join our growing team in the building trades sector. This is a full time position based in Seaford VIC 3198, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in residential and commercial construction projects. Whether you are an experienced tradesperson or an aspiring apprentice, we welcome applications from individuals who are committed to delivering quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards on site.

What you'll be doing

- Performing carpentry work including framing, roofing, decking, and finishing tasks on residential and commercial building projects
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation and construction
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping timber and other materials to specification
- Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively in compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Assisting with site preparation, material handling, and general labouring duties as required
- Supporting experienced tradespeople and contributing to efficient project completion
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area and adhering to site safety protocols
- Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades on site
- Following all relevant building codes, regulations, and company safety procedures

What we're looking for

- For Carpenters: Proven experience in carpentry with relevant qualifications or demonstrated competency in building trades; proficiency with hand and power tools; knowledge of building codes and safety standards
- For Apprentices:



Currently enrolled in or willing to undertake an apprenticeship in carpentry or a related building trade; enthusiasm to learn and develop practical skills; commitment to completing formal training requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transport to the Seaford VIC 3198 location
- Current white card
- A solid commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different types of construction sites
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
