About the role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Shellharbour Physiotherapy on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives whilst working in a supportive, modern clinical environment based in Shellharbour NSW 2529. As a Physiotherapist, you will deliver high-quality assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to a diverse range of patients, utilising evidence-based practices and contemporary therapeutic techniques. This role offers the chance to develop your clinical skills, build lasting patient relationships, and contribute to a thriving multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

1. Conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and developing individualised treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and other conditions
2. Delivering direct patient care through manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and other evidence-based interventions
3. Monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and communicating outcomes to patients and referring practitioners
4. Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
5. Educating patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and home exercise programmes to facilitate long-term recovery

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
7. Contributing to the maintenance of a safe, clean, and well-organised clinical environment
8. Participating in ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in physiotherapy practice

What we're looking for

1. Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and unrestricted practising rights
2. Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
3. Strong clinical knowledge and competency in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
5. A patient-centred approach with genuine empathy and commitment to delivering high-quality care
6. Proficiency in using clinical documentation systems and electronic health records
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
8. Professional judgment and problem-solving skills to manage complex patient presentations
9. Current First Aid and CPR certification
10. Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain if not already held)
11. Preferred experience in community-based physiotherapy, outpatient settings, or private practice
