Leading Hand Carpenter - Architectural Homes | Tilbuilt

Tilbuilt is a Melbourne builder specialising in architect-designed custom homes, extensions and multi-unit projects across the inner east. We're a close-knit team - our site managers have 15+ years in custom building and our longest-serving employees have been with us over a decade. We're looking for a leading hand carpenter to head our site carpentry team and help develop our newly qualified carpenter and second-year apprentice.

The role

Lead the carpentry crew across framing, cladding, external works and fix-out on architectural projects

Set out and deliver work from architectural, structural and consultant documentation

Mentor and supervise a newly qualified carpenter multiple apprentices

Work directly with experienced site managers and hand-picked specialist trades

Maintain safety,

What we're looking for

8+ years' carpentry experience with a builder, including 3+ years on architectural/high-end residential work

Proven ability to run a crew and bring apprentices along

Confident reading architectural, structural and consultant drawings

Current driver's licence, White Card, own hand tools

Growth mindset - we promote from within

Cert IV in Building & Construction highly regarded but not required.
