Stahmann Webster is seeking an experienced Fitter & Turner to join our Orchard Workshop team at our large-scale Pecan Orchard near Moree, NSW.

About the Role

As a Fitter & Turner, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and fabricating components for a wide range of farm machinery and equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Inspecting farm plant and equipment to determine maintenance requirements.

- Fault finding and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

- Fabricating and assembling metal components to repair farm machinery and equipment.

- Performing preventative maintenance, overhauls and repairs on machinery and fluid power systems.

- Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts using precision measuring instruments.

- Machining metal stock using lathes, drills, grinders, presses and other workshop equipment.

- Working closely with workshop and operational teams to minimise downtime.

- Referring specialised repairs to diesel mechanics where required.

- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitting (Fitter & Turner).

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.

- Solid fitting and mechanical skills gained in a workshop environment.

- Experience maintaining farm, industrial or manufacturing equipment.





- Experience operating manual lathes and welding equipment.

- Sound mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to safely undertake manual handling tasks.

- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

- A flexible, proactive and team‑oriented approach.

- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.

Desirable:

- Previous agricultural industry experience.
