English/Maths Teacher Needed for Primary School Students Duke Education

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English/Maths Teacher to join our primary education team at Duke Education. This is a casual position based in Edgecliff NSW 2027, offering flexibility for educators who wish to work on an as-needed basis. As an English/Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality instruction to primary school students, helping them develop fundamental literacy and numeracy skills that form the foundation of their educational journey. This position is integral to our commitment to providing excellent teaching and learning experiences for our students.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that develop students' reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in line with curriculum requirements
- Design and deliver mathematics lessons that build students' understanding of key numeracy concepts and problem-solving abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel motivated to learn and participate
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of individual students within the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support the overall school vision and educational objectives
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and achievement
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing




- Follow school policies and contribute to a safe, respectful school community

What we're looking for

- Teaching qualification or relevant tertiary qualification in Education, English, Mathematics or a related discipline
- Current or working towards registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) or equivalent teaching registration
- Strong subject knowledge in English and Mathematics at the primary school level
- Proven experience teaching primary school students, ideally across multiple year levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents and colleagues
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying learning needs and abilities
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning
- A commitment to continuing career development and staying current with best practice in primary education
- Flexibility and adaptability, essential for casual teaching roles
- A genuine passion for education and a student-centred approach to teaching
