SYC provides personalised case management, connectingparticipants with a wide range of employers and industries tocreate opportunities that match their skills and aspirations. Withmore than 50 locations nationwide, SYC offers accessible,supportive services designed to drive longterm employmentsuccess.
In this role, you will work closely with participants toovercome career challenges, build essential skills, and progresstoward their employment goals. This role is based at SYC's Cranbourne site and provides the opportunity tomake a meaningful impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one coaching sessions to participants, assessing their career needs, and creating personalised actionplans.
- Conducting career assessments and helping clients identify their strengths, interests, and values to guide their employmentgoals.
- Using sales strategies to work collaboratively and network with community organisations to create opportunities for participants.
- Assisting participants in developing effective job searchstrategies, including resume writing and interviewpreparation.
- Referring participants through training, counselling, and otherservices to increase long term employment outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance requirements are met.
About You
You thrive working autonomously while contributing to a broaderteam, bringing enthusiasm, empathy, and a genuine commitment tomaking a difference. You have solid administration experience,strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and KPItargets, and confidence working in an agile environment. Thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in customer service, client facing or anadministrative role.
- Time management, organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise in order to achieve outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal, andwritten skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments,developing case plans and case notes and reports.
- Outcome-focused with a genuine passion for helping peoplesucceed.
- Ability to develop relationships with employers and relevantstakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible across multiple locations.
Key screening and requirements:
- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Be eligible to work in Australia.
