AB Group Labour is seeking experienced Boilermakers and Pipewelders to join our team on a casual basis. This is a hands‑on role that offers the opportunity to work on diverse welding and boilermaking projects in a energetic trades environment. Based in St Kilda, Victoria, this casual position provides flexibility whilst allowing you to utilise your specialist welding and fabrication skills on varied and challenging work.

What you’ll be doing

- Performing high-quality welding on pipes, boilers and pressure vessels using various welding techniques and methods
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy in all work
- Preparing materials and work surfaces for welding, including cutting, grinding and fitting components
- Operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools to the highest safety standards
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification
- Adhering to all health and safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment
- Testing and pressure-testing completed boiler and pipe assemblies

What we’re looking for

- Current relevant welding qualifications and certifications (such as NZQA Level 4 or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker or Pipeweld working on industrial projects
- Proficiency in multiple welding processes including MIG, TIG, stick and oxy-fuel welding




- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Knowledge of pressure vessel codes and boilermaking standards
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical fitness and capability to work in a hands‑on environment
- A valid driver’s licence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Current working rights in Australia
