Estimator - Fit Out, Refurbishment and D&C; Based in Sydney

Job Responsibilities

As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders while working closely with project delivery teams to secure and set up successful projects.

- Utilise your expertise to accurately estimate the cost of materials, labour, and other resources required for fit-out projects.
- Craft detailed and competitive bids that reflect our commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment and accuracy throughout the estimation process.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our estimation process.

DUTIES

- Produce competitive tender submissions and pricing documentation
- Identify scope gaps, risks and value engineering opportunities
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Prepare detailed take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications




- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Work closely with Project Managers to support seamless project handovers

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an estimating role within the construction space
- Background in commercial fitout & refurbishment projects is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred)
