We are a Melbourne-based automation specialist focused on consulting, specifying, designing and delivering premium home and building automation systems across Australia.
Our projects range from high-end residential homes to commercial developments, where we integrate lighting control, audiovisual, security, access control, networking, HVAC and other smart building technologies into a seamless user experience.
We've built a robust reputation for technical excellence, attention to detail and delivering projects that exceed our clients' expectations. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for another Automation Systems Integrator / Project Engineer to join our small, professional team.
About the Role
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated individual to become part of our engineering team.
Working closely with our Managing Director, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Automation system design and specification
- Developing proposals and solution summaries
- Commissioning and programming new installations
- Pre-configuration and equipment testing
- Equipment installation
- Remote and onsite support of existing automation projects
- Service calls to completed projects for troubleshooting and fine-tuning
- Fault finding and system diagnostics
- Ongoing product research and technical training
Candidate Profile
This is a technically challenging role where no two projects are the same. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, is passionate about technology,
and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
The role would suit someone with a strong background in electronics as a technician or engineer, or an A-Grade electrician who is keen to expand their knowledge beyond traditional electrical work.
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Solid IP networking knowledge
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation and cable termination
- Proficiency with 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD or Visio
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- A willingness to learn and a great work ethic
- A professional presentation and confidence working directly with clients
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Willingness to travel interstate when required (approximately 15–20%)
Desirable Experience & Skills
The following experience would be highly regarded:
- Programming and design experience with Crestron, C-Bus, Dynalite or KNX
- C# Programming experience
- Configuration of security systems, particularly Inner Range
- Audiovisual installation and integration experience
