Cleanstar Management Services Pty Ltdt/as Rockstar Systems The successful applicant will carry out skilled stone cutting, shaping, finishing, repair, restoration and installation work in our workshop and at client sites across Melbourne. Benefits Competitive salary Task & responsibilities

The successful applicant will: study plans, specifications, measurements and job requirements to determine materials, dimensions, stone preparation and installation or restoration procedures; inspect natural stone and related surfaces, identify defects or deterioration, and determine appropriate repair and restoration methods; measure, mark, cut, shape, grind, hone and polish stone slabs, blocks and components using hand tools and specialist machinery; fit, join and install stone slabs and components for construction, renovation, refurbishment and repair projects, checking levels, alignment, joints and finished dimensions; repair chips, cracks, scratches, worn edges, damaged joints and other defects in natural stone and terrazzo, and perform only legally permitted repair or minor modification work on previously installed legacy engineered stone where authorised and subject to required safety controls; restore stone surfaces through grinding, honing and polishing to achieve the required finish and appearance; prepare stone and substrate surfaces and apply suitable mortars, adhesives, grouts, fillers, sealants and protective treatments in accordance with job specifications and manufacturer instructions; clean and seal natural stone and porcelain surfaces as part of integrated restoration and protection works; safely operate and maintain stone-cutting, grinding, polishing and dust-control equipment; assess completed work for finish, alignment, integrity and compliance with project requirements; follow workplace health and safety requirements, including silica-dust controls, manual-handling procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment; and coordinate with supervisors,



other trades and clients to complete work safely, professionally and within project timeframes.

Qualification & experience

AQF Certificate III in Stonemasonry or a closely related qualification, including relevant on-the-job training, or at least three years of relevant full-time stonemasonry experience in place of a formal qualification; practical experience cutting, shaping, grinding, honing, polishing, joining, installing and repairing natural stone; experience with stone restoration and repair techniques, including chip, crack, scratch and joint repairs, with any work on legacy engineered stone undertaken only where legally permitted and under prescribed safety controls; the ability to read plans, specifications and measurements and carry out accurate set-out work; competence using stone-working hand tools and machinery safely; a strong understanding of stone types, finishes, adhesives, grouts, fillers, sealants and protective treatments; attention to detail and the ability to produce a high-quality finish; sound workplace health and safety knowledge, particularly in relation to dust control, machinery and manual handling; the ability to work independently and as part of a project team; and reliable communication, time-management and problem-solving skills. A current Australian driver licence and Construction Induction Card (White Card) are desirable due to regular work at client and construction sites.
