The Wooli Tavern Venue Manager - Phillip Island

This is a full-time Venue Manager role based in the picturesque town of Cape Woolamai on Phillip Island, Victoria. As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations and management of The Wooli Tavern, a popular hospitality establishment in the heart of the local community.

What you'll be doing

- Manage all day-to-day operations of the tavern, ensuring excellent customer service and a welcoming environment
- Oversee a team of hospitality staff, providing leadership, training and support
- Manage financial responsibilities including budgeting, inventory control and cash handling
- Implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing, health and safety regulations
- Identify and action opportunities for business growth and improvement

What we’re looking for

- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar venue management role within the hospitality industry
- Robust leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a positive guest experience
- Sound financial management skills, including budgeting,



inventory control and cash handling
- Strong problem-solving and decision‑making capabilities
- Working knowledge of liquor licensing, food safety and other relevant regulations
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
