- The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) North West are seeking suitably qualified Registered Nurses to join the team supporting families with children age 0-5 in beautiful Tasmania.

The Team The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) are looking for suitable candidates to join our dynamic team in providing quality service for families of children under 5 based in the North West region of Tasmania. The North West encompasses Circular Head to West Coast to Devonport Surrounds and King Island.

The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) provide important health and wellbeing services for families across Tasmania with children aged 0-5. The service promotes the healthy development and wellbeing of children, providing growth and developmental assessments, health-focused early intervention, referrals and connections with other early childhood service providers. The Role The CHaPS support families as they transition into parenthood, enhancing parental confidence and capacity, and providing information and services focused on building relationships between children and parents-care givers. Nursing Care: assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care in collaboration with individuals-groups, families and communities.

Teamwork: interact effectively with clients' families and other professionals to facilitate the provision of optimum child-centred health care. Excellence in Practice: active involvement in maintaining and continually improving the quality of patient-client care. This may include participation in research and evidence-based practice.

identify and meet client goals in partnership with clients and their families-significant others. Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training.

You will need Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of client care in child and family health nursing and in line with legal requirements and the NMBA National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse. Demonstrated sound knowledge of the principles of primary health care and the ability to apply these in child and family health nursing. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team workplace.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: (edit and delete as required) Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging You'll have access to salary package a range of perks including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Regional Allowances Remote Career development Allowance of $4,062 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10% (Cape Barren Island, Flinders Island, King Island, Queenstown, Rosebery, Strahan and Zeehan) Benefits available to eligible candidates Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
