Role Information - Director, Foundation Year

Location: 750 Collins Street, Docklands

Employment Type: Full-Time

Duration: Ongoing

Remuneration: Up to $220,000 total remuneration package (inclusive of employer superannuation contributions), depending on skills and experience.

The Opportunity

The Director Foundation Year leads the strategic, operational, and academic direction of the College's Foundation Year program, a key pathway to Monash University. This role ensures a high-quality education experience,



preparing students for university success through effective leadership in all aspects of learning and teaching. The Director is committed to innovation, driving continuous improvement in program delivery, monitoring student and staff performance, and addressing challenges proactively.

- Strategically lead the Foundation Year program to ensure excellence in teaching and learning, aligning all activities with institutional objectives and the Education Strategy.
- Drive the continuous improvement of program delivery by evaluating teaching practices, student outcomes, and alignment with requirements.
- Promote professional development and capacity building among teaching staff, encouraging engagement with innovative practices and alignment with the College's teaching frameworks.
- Oversee the efficient use of resources within the Foundation Year program, including managing budgets, facilities, timetabling, and teaching allocations to optimise outcomes.
- Lead the implementation of strategic projects and initiatives within the Foundation Year program, leveraging data insights to improve processes and student success.

About You

- Postgraduate qualification in Education (or similar)



or Business Management (combined with teaching experience)
- Extensive experience achieving commercial and financial outcomes in an education setting, including budget management and resource allocation.
- Strong knowledge of emerging trends in education delivery, particularly the integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning.
