This role involves taking full ownership of our IT infrastructure, focusing on automation and efficiency rather than traditional helpdesk tasks. You will maintain and enhance systems that are largely self-sufficient, pushing more manual processes into automated workflows.

What you'll do

- Manage the entire identity system, using Okta for IdP, app federation, SCIM, access, and workflows, integrating with HRIS for user lifecycle.
- Administer Google Workspace across various domains, handling organizational units, aliases, routing, license management, billing, and email troubleshooting.
- Oversee device management for a macOS fleet, including Apple Business Manager, MDM blueprints, OS version control, certificate renewals, EDR, and Cloudflare Zero Trust.
- Maintain and expand our automation tools, including a custom TypeScript Cloudflare Worker for non-SCIM provisioning, Okta Workflows, and config-as-code integrations for PagerDuty and Slack.
- Ensure the effectiveness of AI support agents by keeping the SOP library updated and ticket records accurate to inform future automation efforts.
- Manage hardware logistics for a remote team, covering procurement, automated retrieval, international shipping, customs, and maintaining accurate asset records in an API-synced inventory system.
- Administer collaboration tools like Slack and Notion at an organizational level, including enterprise settings, SCIM, and legal holds.




- Monitor and reduce SaaS expenses through license audits, proactive seat management, eliminating unnecessary tools, and making build-versus-buy decisions.

Requirements

- Several years of IT engineering experience, including significant time as the primary or sole IT owner for an organization.
- Extensive practical experience with Okta, covering app integration, SCIM provisioning, push groups, workflows, and HRIS-driven lifecycle management.
- Super-admin level Google Workspace administration, ideally across multiple domains, including managing routing rules, email logs, and group permissions.
- Hands-on MDM experience (e.g., Kandji) and Apple Business Manager, along with familiarity with endpoint security tools.
- Ability to read, modify, and deploy changes to small production codebases, specifically TypeScript, utilizing LLM coding tools.
- A strong focus on security and compliance, ensuring proper access removal, credential handling, ticket-based request processing, and adherence to policies for retention and legal holds.
- Capability to operate independently, prioritize tasks, decline low-value interruptions, and identify areas for automation based on time usage.

Nice to have

- Experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust.
- Background in global remote hardware logistics.
- Experience in the crypto or iGaming industries.
