Job Description

Placed.au is looking for a full-time Baker for our client in Ringwood North, Victoria. This role is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing baked goods such as bread, rolls, pastries, and other baked products while ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards. - Weighing up and mixing as per recipe requirements.
- Hand shaping and molding as instructed by Bakery Manager.
- Maintaining quality and consistency standards.
- Producing bread quantities in an efficient and timely manner to meet production forecast set by Bakery Manager.

Operations

- Compliance with all workplace OH&S; Laws.
- Compliance with all Food Safety Standards.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Report required equipment and kitchen maintenance.
- Complete all daily, weekly and monthly FSP tasks as required.

Leadership

- Maintaining a positive work culture and a 'Can do' attitude.
- Supporting fellow team members to achieve common goals.




- Supervise Apprentice and Baker's Assistant as well as providing training to them.
- Participate in baking workshops, forums and competitions when required.

Qualifications / Attributes

- Must hold a Certificate III in Baking including at least two (2) years of relevant employment, or at least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
- Must possess at least one (1) year of relevant work experience as a Baker or in a similar commercial bakery role.
- Demonstrated ability to produce baked goods to consistent quality and weight standards.
- Solid knowledge of food safety standards and OH&S; requirements in a bakery environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet daily production targets within rostered hours.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to support and lead junior staff.

Salary

Salary $75,000 – $85,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
