About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle Assessor, you'll be the technical expert in your designated region, ensuring every assessment is completed on time, using the right repair method and delivering quality and cost outcomes on every claim.
Based in Brisbane, you'll join our QLD assessing team and work alongside our teams in VIC and NSW. Your days will be varied with a good mix of assessments, and you'll be provided with a mobile phone, a fully maintained vehicle and fuel card.
Beyond assessing, you'll play a key role in managing repairer performance, building strong relationships with repairers and suppliers, reviewing third party estimates for compliance with industry standards. You'll also act as a technical referral point for our wider Motor Claims team, helping deliver excellent outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensively manage an insurance claim, including the submission of assessment report, completion of scope of works and costing estimation
- Undertake assessments as allocated
- Interact with our Customers,
Clients, Trades, and internal staff to build strong relationships and capture critical information to resolve queries in relation to insurance claims
- Conduct your activity in a timely manner
- Prepare your own assessment reports to be sent directly to the client
About You
- Demonstrated experience within the Motor Vehicle Assessing function for a general insurer
- Extensive knowledge of the motor vehicle assessment industry and the latest repair methodology
- Working knowledge of vehicle mechanics and repair
- Strong strategic and analytical skills and be able to accurately assess damage
- Excellent communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to determine reasonable cost outcomes
