Development Team Leader (.NET) - Hands-On

Melbourne CBD | Permanent | Hybrid (on-site with WFH flexibility)

Lead a small, high-performing development team delivering enterprise solutions across the Microsoft .NET stack. This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role — you'll shape architecture, mentor developers, and stay close to the code, all while driving integration across ERP, cloud and enterprise systems.

What you'll do

- Lead and mentor a small development team across the full project lifecycle — planning, design, development and testing.
- Own high-level technical architecture and design, balancing scalability, performance, security and maintainability.
- Drive integration design across Dynamics 365 ERP, enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
- Set the technical direction — evaluating recent technologies, frameworks and tools, and championing best practice.
- Partner with architects, product owners and business stakeholders to translate complex needs into robust technical solutions.
- Build team capability through coaching, recruitment input and vendor management.

What you'll bring





- 10+ years' hands-on experience as a .NET Application Architect, Development Manager or similar — still coding, still leading from the front.
- Deep expertise in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, Web API, and related Microsoft technologies (Blazor, WPF, Xamarin/.NET MAUI a plus).
- Strong track record integrating enterprise systems, ideally including D365 Finance & Operations.
- Solid grounding in Azure cloud services, DevOps and CI/CD.
- Experience with SOAP/RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Excellent communicator, comfortable translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Systems.
