About the role Heidi Health is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare by creating an AI Care Partner that supports clinicians and enhances patient outcomes.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the integration platform that links our innovative products with the external systems that healthcare professionals rely on, such as Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and scheduling applications.
You will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our integration framework and marketplace, ensuring that global product requirements are effectively balanced with local needs.

What you’ll do
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive roadmap and strategy for the integration surface, which encompasses the framework, marketplace, and various connectors.
- Prioritize integration initiatives by evaluating engineering costs against regional demand, determining which integrations to enhance, maintain, or phase out.
- Serve as the primary liaison for all product lines, including Scribe, Comms, and Evidence, facilitating connections to external systems.
- Oversee the management of the Integration Marketplace, enhancing discoverability and streamlining setup processes for users.
- Lead the transition to our new integration framework, standardizing processes for error handling, analytics, and multi-tenancy.
- Convert intricate EMR specifications into actionable technical requirements for the engineering team.
- Set and uphold rigorous standards for integration quality,
ensuring low latency and high reliability.
- Collaborate with teams across the US, UK, and APAC regions to harmonize competing priorities into a cohesive platform roadmap.
- Work closely with EHR partners and integration engines to navigate API modifications and ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Analyze customer account data to identify trends and develop scalable platform solutions, moving away from one-off fixes.
- Broaden the scope of integrations to encompass not only EMRs but also document storage systems, scheduling tools, and secure messaging platforms.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Applied Sciences.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in product management, integrations, or technical roles within the healthcare sector.
- Hands‑on experience with healthcare interoperability standards, particularly SMART on FHIR, HL7 v2 (including ADT, ORM, ORU), FHIR resources, and OAuth authentication flows.
- A demonstrated history of successfully delivering platform or framework products designed for modular reuse and scalability.
- Strong decision-making skills to navigate build‑vs‑configure dilemmas while managing a dynamic roadmap under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to interpret integration logs for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with AI development tools and a solid understanding of concepts related to large language models (LLMs), including prompting, embeddings, and retrieval techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience with a variety of EMR/EHR systems, such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, MEDITECH Expanse, Veradigm, and Best Practice.
- Knowledge of technical standards and protocols, including SMART on FHIR, HL7 v2, and OAuth.
- Exposure to AI and development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and LLM systems.
- Understanding of integration engines, API management, and analytics instrumentation.
