About The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to develop andmaintainhigh‑quality,up‑to‑datepractical legal content on Consumer law, with an increasing focus onoptimising and enhancing content for ourcutting-edgeAI‑poweredlegal workflow and research solutions.

You will play a key role in shaping how lawyers interact with Practical Guidance, Australia’s most established and trusted ‘how-to’ of legal practice, by:

- Using the best drafting and research tools to improve speed,consistencyand usability of legal content
- Working closely with technology,productand editorial teams to embed legalexpertiseintoAI‑enabledlegal solutions
- Ensuring content reflectsreal‑worldlegal practice, marketdevelopmentsand emerging trends
- Provide support to help build brand awareness and influence market share across clients and stakeholders.

This role offers the chance to stayclosely connectedto legal practice, without the pressures of billable hours or client deadlines, while actively contributing to the future of legal work.

This is a permanent role currently structured at 0.9 FTE, equivalent to4.5 days per week. Werecognisethat candidates may have different working preferences and are open to discussing the working arrangement with suitably experienced applicants. Weoperatea hybrid mode, with some regular in-office attendance preferred - ideally1-2days per week - alongside flexibility to work from home depending on your location.

With experience as apractisinglawyer in Australia, you will have a strong understanding of the practical processes in a lawyer’s workflow as relates toConsumer lawmatters.

Requirements

- 5+ years PQE (minimum)
- Experience in an Australian mid to top tier law firm orin-house counsel role
- A practice background inconsumer law matters
- Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills
- Aptitude for building and fostering relationships with a range of diverse clients and local and international stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problemsolvingandorganisationalskills.
- Interest in, or exposure to, AI‑assisted legal researchand AI tools(desirable)
