As an accounting firm based in Hurstville, our main focus is assisting clients to grow, succeed and to offer efficient service experience.

We are seeking a Senior accountant with proven extensive SMSF skills to complement their Australian taxation experience, someone who is self‑motivated and enthusiastic. The position is a full‑time role based exclusively in our Hurstville office.

The role includes responsibility for preparing and managing taxation compliance work for a wide range of business & SMSF clients and ensuring work is completed effectively and efficiently. It also includes managing and assisting team members and working with the partner to ensure clients needs are met.

POSITION SUMMARY

Preparation of financial statements, & tax returns for a wide range of clients and entities.

Preparation of SMSF Tax returns, financial statements + Audit (BGL 360 software).





Assisting and reviewing the work of other team members.

Client communication including; discussing queries, tax planning, answering technical questions.

A solid knowledge of Australian taxation as well as ability to deal with research & technical matters

Finalise accounts for larger groups and discuss queries and year end accounts with clients along the way.

ABOUT YOU/QUALIFICATIONS

Genuine experience (5 + years minimum) in a similar role and proficient in all areas of public practice accounting & taxation.

Proven experience in SMSF administration & audit with a wide range of funds (straightforward and complex investments).

Have strong written and verbal communication skills;

Have experience with Handisoft, MYOB,Xero,Quickbooks, and BGL 360; and,

Have a proactive attitude and a desire for client interaction.
