Wedgetail R&D; pty ltd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to join our small skilled team in Cheltenham VIC 3192. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our inventory management systems.

As the Inventory Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, procurement and goods in/goods out, and ensuring that all inventory records are maintained to the highest standards. This role is essential to our operations, directly supporting our manufacturing and logistics capabilities and ensuring that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Being a member of a small team, you will also be trained in assembly and production, so you are multi-skilled and multi-task orientated when required.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain and monitor accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and physical checks.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliation to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, and adjustments
- Manage procurement and good in/goods out to ensure timely & accurate receipt and storage of goods
- Maintain proper organisation and labelling of inventory items in storage areas
- Prepare inventory reports and provide data analysis to support management decision-making
- Monitor stock levels and alert relevant departments when reorder points are reached
- Support cycle counting activities and participate in physical inventory audits
- Ensure compliance with inventory policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Assist in assembly and production as and when required.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in an inventory or warehouse management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with inventory management software and systems, (ideally Unleashed).




- Experience with data entry and database management
- Meticulous attention to detail with competent excel and data entry skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Physical capability to perform warehouse duties including lifting, moving, and organising inventory items
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving
- Knowledge of inventory best practices and familiarity with stock control principles
- Flexibility and initiative and a strong sense of Team.
