The PeterToms Early Learning Centre at BGS facilitates the growth anddevelopment of pre-school aged boys in preparation for entry intoPrimary School. In addition to the provision of a stimulating andengaging kindergarten program, the ELC also offers optional carefor students before and after their kindergarten session and duringthe term breaks.Staff within the ELC workas part of a team whose key function is to provide a protected andstimulating environment for preschool aged children.

Therole

We are currently seekingapplications from energetic and enthusiastic Assistants to join ourELC Program on a casual basis.

Working as a casual ELCAssistant you will be responsible for supporting the ELC Teacherwith the delivery of age appropriate activities to ensure the boysattending the program have the opportunity to reach theiremotional, physical and self-esteem needs.

In order to be consideredfor one of these casual positions, you will require:

- A Certificate III inChildren's Services or equivalent,



or working towards one.*Please note any qualification you have or may be workingtowards must be in relation to Early Childhood / EarlyYears.
- Current First AidLevel 2 certificate including CPR; Anaphylaxis and Asthmatraining or a capacity to complete these;
- Current Food SafetySupervisor Certificate (Level 2) or willingness to completeupon beginning at the program;
- Avalid employee Working With Children Check.
- Flexibility to work asneeded Monday to Friday for our morning shift (7.30am to12.30pm) or afternoon shift (12.30pm to 5.30pm).
