Take the lead on high-quality commercial fit out and refurbishment projects with one of Melbourne's most respected builders.

Our client is a well-established commercial fit out and refurbishment contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering premium projects across workplace, hospitality, retail, education and government sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join their high-performing delivery team. Working on projects ranging from $2M–$20M, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors.

The Role

As a Senior Contract Administrator, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered commercially, contractually and financially while maintaining solid relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the commercial delivery of fit out and refurbishment projects from start to finish.
- Prepare, review and administer subcontract agreements.
- Let and negotiate subcontract packages.
- Manage procurement schedules and project budgets.
- Assess and process subcontractor progress claims and variations.
- Prepare client progress claims and variation submissions.
- Forecast project costs and monitor financial performance.




- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects remain on budget and programme.
- Manage final accounts and subcontract close-out.

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

- 6+ years' experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction.
- Experience delivering commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement, cost planning and contract administration.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail with strong commercial acumen.
- A relevant qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline.
