We’re seeking an enthusiastic and caring Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our Residential Aged Care team and help create meaningful experiences that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection.

About the Role
Working as part of our Leisure & Lifestyle team, you will help plan, coordinate and deliver engaging activities and programs that support the physical, emotional, social, spiritual and psychological wellbeing of residents. You will work closely with residents, families, volunteers and the broader care team to ensure activities are meaningful, person-centred and enjoyable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individual and group lifestyle activities tailored to resident interests and abilities
- Supporting residents to participate in activities and maintain social connections
- Assisting with dementia-specific programs and engagement activities
- Promoting community involvement, volunteer participation and intergenerational connections
- Contributing to activity calendars, special events and celebrations
- Maintaining resident documentation, assessments and progress notes
- Supporting continuous improvement, quality and accreditation requirements
- Building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
About you
You are compassionate, energetic and creative, with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older people. You enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and can bring enthusiasm and positivity to every interaction.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Qualification in Individual Support, Diversional Therapy, Leisure & Health, or equivalent (or willingness to undertake)
- Experience working with older people, preferably in residential aged care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer and documentation skills
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- A current Victorian Driver Licence
- An understanding of person-centred care and quality aged care practices
- A commitment to maintaining professional standards, confidentiality and resident dignity.

Employment requirements
The successful applicant will be required to meet all relevant legislative and organisational requirements for working in aged care, including maintaining required screening clearances and compliance with the Aged Care Code of Conduct.
