Position Overview

Its team comprises highly skilled professionals dedicated to providing high-quality services and ensuring each patient receives personalised and professional care. On behalf of Sydney Smile Specialists, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Dental Technician to join its team.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Receive, disinfect and prepare dental impressions in accordance with infection-control procedures.
- Pour, trim, articulate and mount dental models for the construction of dental appliances and restorations.
- Use thermoforming equipment to produce bleaching trays, orthodontic retainers, custom impression trays, provisional veneer templates and occlusal splints.




- Construct screw-retained immediate implant crowns in accordance with dentists’ prescriptions and technical specifications.
- Select and prepare suitable materials for the construction, finishing and polishing of dental appliances.
- Inspect, adjust and repair dental models, crowns and appliances to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Disinfect completed dental work and maintain laboratory instruments, equipment and work areas.
- Maintain laboratory records and quality-control documentation.
- Keep up to date with developments in dental laboratory materials, techniques and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Relevant qualification in Dentistry or Dental Technology.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent manual dexterity, precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret dentists’ prescriptions, impressions and dental specifications.
- Strong quality-control skills to ensure completed work meets required accuracy, functionality and presentation standards.

Salary:

This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $79,500 to $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week. Code: NOVA0013
