This is a full-time position where you will lead and manage the new vehicle sales department, driving revenue growth and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for overseeing the sales team, developing sales strategies, and ensuring targets are consistently met. This role is pivotal to the success of our dealership operations and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on business performance.

Key responsibilities

Lead, manage and motivate the new vehicle sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and customer acquisition

Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management

Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to enhance team capabilities and product knowledge

Manage the sales pipeline and oversee all stages of the customer sales journey

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals

Ensure compliance with company policies, dealership procedures and relevant automotive industry regulations

Collaborate with marketing and inventory teams to optimise vehicle availability and promotional activities

Recruit, interview and onboard new sales team members as required

Conduct performance reviews and manage team development and career progression

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the automotive industry, specifically in new vehicle sales

Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop sales staff

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues

In-depth knowledge of new vehicle sales processes,



customer purchasing behaviour and market trends

Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales analytics software

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach to sales management

Valid driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles with customers

Relevant sales qualifications or certifications would be advantageous
