Spring Valley Golf Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic First Year Apprentice to join our Course Maintenance team.

Located just 30 minutes south-east of Melbourne CBD, Spring Valley Golf Club is home to one of Melbourne's Sandbelt golf courses. Designed by renowned architect H.V. Morcom, our 18-hole course is consistently recognised among Australia's top 50 golf courses.

First Year Apprentice – Sports Turf Management

About the Role

As a Sports Turf Management Apprentice, you will receive comprehensive on the job training while completing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career in the turf industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the daily preparation and presentation of the golf course.
- Learning all aspects of golf course maintenance and sports turf management.
- Operating a range of turf maintenance equipment.
- Contributing to exciting course improvement projects, including our greens replacement program, irrigation upgrades,



and the implementation of the OCM Course Masterplan.
- Working outdoors in a professional team committed to delivering exceptional playing conditions.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

- Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn.
- Able to work well within a team workplace.
- Interested in sports turf management, horticulture, landscaping, or machinery.
- Passionate about working outdoors.
- Interested in golf or the golf industry (desirable but not essential).

This position is open to school leavers, career changers, mature-age applicants, and anyone looking to build a long-term career in the turf industry.
