Community NDIS Disability Support Worker

Femur Connect is a community-based organisation who provides support to participants who are requiring support in their home or in the community. We are seeking dedicated support workers to deliver high-quality, one-on-one support that aligns with each participant's goals. As we pride ourselves in our values and vision and we are looking for someone who will uphold the same standard.

Duties typically include supporting the client at home and out in the community with social support, light meal preparation, community access, grocery shopping, domestic duties, personal care, travel training, assisting participants to group activities, support attending appointments and more.

We are seeking candidates who have:

Permanent resident status is required for this position.

At least two years of experience in community disability support

A minimum qualification of Certificate III in Individual Support or higher; or willingness to study





A valid Australian Full Driver's License

Completed NDIS Clearance and NDIS Worker Training modules

Current CPR and First Aid Certificates

A valid Working with Children Check

A currently valid Working with Children Check is required before commencement.

Own a car with comprehensive insurance

Experience supporting participants with autism, intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries and mental health (highly desirable)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience working effectively with families and maintaining accurate records and case notes.

Location

Our clients are located in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, Inner Northern Suburbs and Inner-City Suburbs. To be considered for this role, you must be able to travel to suburbs within these areas, such as but not limited to Werribee, Footscray, Caroline Springs, North Melbourne, Glenroy, Melbourne and surrounding.
