Moranbah Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join its Mental Health service for an 8-week contract from August 2026. Based at Moranbah Community Health Centre or Mackay with outreach to the Hinterland region, this Grade 6 position offers the prospect to work across child and youth mental health, adult mental health, acute care, and alcohol and other drugs services. Working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on up to 80 hours per fortnight, the successful candidate will earn between AUD$73.35 and AUD$80.94 per hour, with overtime rates applying beyond 80 hours per fortnight.

- 8-week contract with flexibility to base yourself in Moranbah or Mackay with regional outreach
Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in mental health case management
- Competence in completing electrocardiograms (ECGs)
- Ability to work effectively across multiple mental health service streams
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Flexibility to work in a community health setting with potential outreach requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Experience with mental health case management systems such as CIMHA or ieMR
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and experience working with children, adolescents, or alcohol and other drugs services
